Hello everyone,

I am now about to apply for ILR and I will be fulfilled my 5 years continuous residency on the 4th of July. my visa will expired on 10 October 2019.
Can I apply now? as it stated on the guidelines that the soonest i can apply is 28 days before visa expires or 28 days before fulfilled the 5 years residence.
I would like to apply now as I have a timeline to catch up as i will apply my dependents visa extension and i need my ILR beforehand for their application. However, I am a bit reluctant and this might be a premature application and might cause rejection.
i would really appreciate any feedback.please.

Initial visa was issued 19/03/2014 but my date of entry here in UK is 04/07/2014.

You could have applied within 28 days before 19 March 2019. There was no reason to delay the application as the qualifying period starts counting from visa issue date for PBS main visa holders and dependents.

As I understand 5 years continues residency is from the date of entry.Anyway, Thank you for the clarification. I'll go ahead with my application and I hope everything will be alright.

You understand incorrectly. If you hold a tier 1 or tier 2 visa, it counts from visa start date for you and dependents.

Thanks for explanation. Your such a big help! At least I am fully confident now to process my application.

I just want to ask the following.
1. do I have to get a new English certification or I can still used my previous English certificate from my tier-2 general extension application?
2. Does the bank statement needs to be stamp? as all are electronic copies nowadays.
3. Do I have to submit any utility bills?
4. On the declaration as I will document as I only submit personal bank account I will only signed and submit part 1 (from applicant)? part 2 (third party information) and part 3 (third party sponsor) are not applicable.

I would really appreciate any feed back.
