Does EEA2 time count towards the 10 years long residence route?

Hi all,

I have an enquiry regarding my situation and I’d appreciate any help.

When I first came to the UK, I was on tier 4 visa for 5 years then secured a job and granted a tier 2 visa, 3 years after I got married to EU national and was granted the EEA2. In a few weeks I would have spent in the UK 10 continuous years.

My question here is, does my time on the EEA2 visa count towards the 10 years?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Yes it does but will only count if you provide extensive evidence proving your EU sponsor is a qualified person exercising treaty rights for the whole time you are claiming under the eea rules

Thanks for your prompt response.

What sort of evidence is required? Payslips for all the period she’s sponsoring me?

Thanks again,
Adam

Payalips, bank statements, evidence of living together, P60s etc.
