Dear all,

We would be very grateful if you could help us with a very important question regarding the financial requirements for our ILR application.

We are combining our salaries for the financial requirement of £18,600.

My husband is self employed and the financial requirements needed by the home office are from the financial year (April '18-April '19) as on his tax return.

I am employed at a hospice and have payslips and bank statements for the last 12 months I have worked there. (I satrted working there in June 2018)

Together with my husbands self employed salary from April '18 - April '19 and my LAST 12 months salary we can meet the threshold of over £18,600.

My question is are the home office looking at my LAST 12 months salary, or will the be wanting to see my salary from April '18 - April '19 the SAME financial year as my husband?

Thank you so much for your help

Lauren

For clarification:
It states on the UK visa application documents needed:

‘Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application’

9.3.7 Where a couple are using their joint income to meet the financial requirement, all of this income must fall within the financial year(s) being relied on and must still be a source of income at the time of application. For example, if the applicant is in the UK with permission to work, to combine their salaried employment income with their partner’s self-employment income, they must provide evidence of the income received from this salaried employment during their self-employed partner’s relevant financial year(s) and evidence of ongoing employment at the date of application.
I suggest to read the official guide where all is explained : https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ext_1_.pdf
