I was granted spouse visa outside the rules
I arrived in uk in January 2015 and after 2.5 years when I applied for flr m I was granted another 2.5 years and they switched me to 5 years route because I was earning over £18600. My question is can I apply for my ILR in January 2020 as I complete 5 years in uk on spouse visa or do I have to count my 5 years from the date of flr m granted which would be in 2022 I’m a little confused

You need 5 years under FLR(M) for ILR

Do you mean I will have to apply for ILR in 2022
Not in 2020?

Yes. You cannot mix the time spent under the 10 year route and the 5 year route

ILR doesn't expire. I assume you mean 28 days before completing 5 years under FLR(M).
