What does "Recommend Cancel Without Prejudice" mean?

I am applying for ILR (10 yr) Sept 09 - Sept 19, but my first T4 visa issued Sept 2009-2011 has a red cross diagonally across it, saying 'Recommend cancel without prejudice'.

My visa history is as follows:
Sept 09 - Dec 09 - T4 visa
Jan 10 - July 11 - T4 visa (switched schools but no new sticker/BRP issued)
July 11 - Sept 14 - T4 visa
Sept 14 - July 15 - T4 visa
Aug 15 - Aug 17 - T5 YMS visa
Aug 17 - Sept 2020 - T2 Visa

I can't remember when it was crossed out, but I have been travelling in and out of the UK in 09-11 without any problems.

Does anybody know what this means and will it negatively impact my application without me providing an explanation? PS-I've already made a SAR, awaiting the results.

@aman90 thanks for that. Does this mean that this was written because I was issued another T4 visa from 2011 - 2014?

I'm not unclear as to whether:
(1) does this look negative to the Home Office when considering my application?
(2) if I should address it in my application & how?

Has anybody has this type of cross previously?

Stop over thinking.
From what angle does the statement sound negative..
Apply the information within the link to your situation.
It seems you applied for a new visa whilst having extant leave. You cannot hold the same categories visas simultaneously hence one had to be cancelled simply

I have one of these stamps on my passport.. just cz two UK tourist visas overlapped so they cancelled first one. I had no issues.
