staying out of the country

Hello

Background:
first spouse visa granted 5 May 2017
to expire 5 November 2019

just applied for extension, FLR M granted, awaiting BRP.

From my understanding, I can stay out of the country 90 days from May to May.

I plan to apply for ILR when my new BRP expires. What’s the rule about staying out of the country and still be eligible for ILR?
is it still 90 days from May to May for me?

Yes. None at all. Absences limit per year are only for people under PBS routes

There is no absence clause under immigration rules related to family members :!:
