Absence/Paid Leaves Letter - only the days when I travelled abroad?

Hi,

Thank you very much for this useful forum.

I am applying for ILR using Tier 2 route (5yrs). I worked with my previous employer for 3.5 years and did not take any unpaid leaves. The total days I spent outside the UK in 5 years would be roughly 75 days so I am fine with the 180 days rule.

I have recently come to know about the letter from employer (current + previous) stating one's absences & annual leaves. I’m sorry if I sound daft but I’m really confused about this... Is it enough that the employer’s letter carries the dates when I travelled outside the UK for business & personal reasons? OR does it need to show all the dates I travelled abroad + paid annual leaves I have taken including the ones that I spent in the UK?

In addition, is there any required amount of funds that one has to show in their bank statement?

Kind Regards,
Nov

All absences from work better be mentioned. There is no maintenance for ILR

Hi Zimba

Thanks for your response.

My previous employer can only provide paid leave details for the period of Feb 2015 - Dec 2017, where as i worked with them from Feb 2015 to Sept 2018. 9 months of data is missing. Is it all right that they acknowledge this in the letter that the 9 months data is not available?

My current employer wants to issue an ILR support letter but they do not reference paid leaves, business travel or holidays outside the UK. Would this cause any issue?
(As mentioned before, i have only spent total 74 days outside the UK in 5 yrs).

Kind Regards
Nov

They should simply say that all absences from work were authorised

Hi Zimba

Two points:

Point 1: The following is the information on holidays which will be presented in the letter by my ex-employer with whom I worked for 3.5 years:
- A statement mentioning my annual leave allowance (number of days) in addition to bank holidays
- A statement confirming that I did not take any unauthorized absences and unpaid leaves.
- A table showing my absences from the UK (for personal & business reasons): dates of travel, country visited and purpose of visit.

Point 2: In addition to Point 1, is it relevant that I request my ex-employer to provide a statement of all the holidays taken by me, which includes: annual leaves (spent inside and outside the UK), bank holidays, x-mas etc?? This information is not fully available with my ex-employer due to their IT infrastructure upgrade etc.

If you could please confirm that Point 1 is sufficient and Point 2 is irrelevant then it will be very helpful.

Apologies for my over-thinking.
