ILR Query

Hi,

I came to UK first in 2012 on a tier 2 ICT, then moved to tier 2 General 2016, then again moved to tier 2 ICT in 2017, had to leave in middle of 2019 to India in an urgent situation and my tier 2 ICT kool off period started, i will be back in 2020 on a tier 2 general after my kool off expires. during this kool off year, i will be travelling to UK every quarter on a business visa, so that my continuity is not broken.

My simple question is that will i complete my 10 years long residence in 2022. I will surely be meeting the criteria of not spending more than 540 days outside overall and never spend more than 180 days outside the country and have always kept to the terms of your UK visa. Have never overstayed and so on.

Please confirm on your opinion. Thanks a lot.

All visas count towards the long residence. As long as you leave the Uk with valid visa and always return within 6 months
