The day of application for ILR

Few years ago, when I was reading about the requirements for ILR, I remember that the *day* of your application mattered. You had to be in the country exactly 5 years before that day [or something like that].

Is that condition still the case? I couldn't see it in the gov.uk documents today.
Does the exact day you applied for ILR matter?

Nonsense. This has NEVER been a requirement for ilr. It is required for British citizenship.
