Hi all,

My daughter and I will be eligible for applying ILR as tier 2 dependant in December. Since my husband has been granted ILR, this December only me and my daughter will submit the application. I know we have to provide evidence of cohabitation and some documents from my daughter's school and doctor to prove she does live with us, but I still want to read more details about the regulation and to prepare all the supporting documents beforehand. I remember CR001 posted a PDF link from UKBA somewhere and that PDF provides the details I need, saying dependants need to supply at least two-year evidence of cohabitation with a list of samples etc., but somehow I couldn't find it now. If anyone knows the PDF I am talking about, could you please kindly provide the link to me? Thank you!!

My daughter is only 1 year old. Since she is still little, she doesn't receive many official letters. I believe I can get one from her health visitor and one from nursery. I am not sure if she will receive NHS letters within three months before we send the application. Are these letters sufficient?

We will open a bank account for my daughter and she will receive bank statement. I hope three sources are enough to prove where she lives?

You are overthinking this. She does not need a bank account to prove her address.

That's for the evidence of where my daughter lives and that we play active roles in her upbringing. As I can only get official letters from her GP and nursery (one from each), I am worried two letters are not sufficient. That's why I think she needs bank statements. Am I wrong?

You are wrong.

The two letters are sufficient. Highly unlikely that HO would refuse a baby ILR in your circumstances.

If ur daughter was born in uk.. would you not wish to register her as British..

She was not born in the UK, so she has to apply for ILR first. But thank you for your suggestion!

I’ve been holding Tier 2 dependant since 27/01/2015, so my one-year-old daughter and I will be eligible for applying ILR on 31/12/2019. Since my husband has been granted ILR, this December only me and my daughter will submit the application.

I held Tier5 YMS before Tier 2 dependant, so, in 2015, I left the UK to switch my visa to Tier 2 dependant. My Tier 2 dependant was granted on 27/01/2015 but I entered the UK on 27/02/2015, does that affect my eligibility date for applying ILR?

Your Tier 5 time is irrelevant.

You qualify for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before your Tier 2 Dependent visa ISSUE date.

I just started the application, and it asked me my husband's Home Office reference number. Is this a number shown on my husband's decision letter when he applied for ILR?

Or should I simply leave HO reference number blank?

I firstly entered the UK on 26/06/2010 with my tier 4 visa. But I entered the UK on 27/02/2015 after switching my visa to Tier 2 dependant in my home country. Which date should I put in?

And I got another questions:

"Leave granted on or after 11 January 2018

Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?"

I was firstly granted Tier 2 dependant on 27/01/2015, and then was granted the extensions on 16/12/2015 and 29/04/2019. Is my answer yes?

After this one, the application then asked me "Details of your time spent outside the UK and Crown Dependencies"

Should I list all my travel history or just list my records after 29/04/2019?

I am finishing filling out the application. Just a few more questions.

It asked me to provide several supporting documents in the check list.

1.Declaration signed by Mr XXXXX (my husband) to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks

Is it referring to “Consent for the Home Office to verify information from third party sponsor” saying if the information or documentation relates to another person or persons who is to provide the applicant with financial support, that person or persons* should sign the following declaration?

2. Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Mr XXXXX (my husband) for joint accounts or third party support

Is it referring to “Consent for the Home Office to verify third party information” saying if any information or documentation provided n is in the joint names of the applicant and another person (or persons), the joint owner should sign the following declaration?

3. All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that Miss XXXXX (my daughter) has used to travel to or remain in the UK

We will provide my daughter's passport as one of mandatory documents and my daughter only has one passport since she was born. Should I still tick this one?

I have submitted the application and our appointment will be on 10-Jan-2020. Now I am thinking about the questions regarding my time spent outside the UK. Maybe I didn't state all my details clearly. I was granted Tier 2 dependant extensions on 16-Dec-2015 and 29-Apr-2019. I traveled outside the UK from 30-Apr-2018 to 04-Sep-2018, and from 02-Nov-2019 to 30-Nov-2019. I only listed 02-Nov-2019 to 30-Nov-2019 in my application. Since I already submitted the form, should I added 03-Apr-2018 to 04-Sep-2018 as travelling history in a cover letter and upload it to UKVCAS system?
