ILR with a fixed term contract

Hi
Can anyone please let me know if they had a similar situation as me,
I am on a fixed term contract untill sept 2022. i will be eligible for ILR, i believe from 2nd sept 2020 (as my entry visa is from 29th sept 2015 and i started my job on 1st oct 2015, am i right?).
If i ask my HR, they will give me a letter for employment i believe stating that i am on a fixed term contract ending 1st sept 2022. will this be enough for my ILR application to be successful when i apply next year? did any one face similar situation?

For PBS applicants- date of issue to calculate continuous residence.
Read guidance for ur Tier.
Yes. You have quite sometime with ur sponsor. The letter will be fine.

Keep ur questions in ur existing thread. Change the subject. Search the forum. A couple will turn up.

As per rules, your employer should need you for the foreseeable future. That is the opposite of a 'fixed term' contract

Thanks, so does it mean that tier 2 based ILR are only for permanently contracted people ?

Yes. ILR is granted only to people who are needed without a fixed term limit
