Hi, I'm about to apply for my indefinite leave to remain in 24th January and my visa ends on 28th January. We are planning to go to Netherlands for a week in the last week of March and I thought I've just applied for my visa and really don't have any idea if I could travel if I haven't received a decision that time. I was really looking forward for this trip and the thought of visa processing just ruined it. My question are:

1. Does Home Office collect my passport and BRP as a requirement for the ILR application (I've been researching and I couldn't find the requirements for the ILR visa application)
2. If ever they don't collect my passport or BRP am I allowed to travel using both it ever they collect my passport or my BRP?

Thanks very much.

No originals are sent to ho. Everything is scanned and uploaded.

No you can't travel out of the UK while an application is pending as if you do, your application will be considered withdrawn. As your visa expires 4 days after you plan to apply for ilr, if you do travel before you have a decision, you won't be able to re enter the UK as you won't have a valid visa.

If you need a quicker decision, you will have to pay £800 extra for super priority, which is also not guaranteed, if you get that option if there is availability.
