CHILDREN BORN BEFORE ILR - CITIZENSHIP REGISTRATION

Dear Members,

I wanted to get a piece of advice on getting my Children's Citizenship registration. I got my ILR last Friday on the basis of 10 years and when I applied for that I was on Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa so my wife and both my children were my dependants.

Can I now apply for my Children's Citizenship registration since I received the ILR after both were born, also what status my wife will have? she will be completing her 5 years as a dependant on Tier 1 next month.

I'll be grateful if some can shed some light on the above.

1. Where were the children born, in the UK or abroad?

3. Your wife has to switch to FLR M spouse visa, meeting the English and financial requirements. Her 5 year ilr clock will reset to zero and she will need 2 X 2.5 year visas before she can apply for ilr.

She cannot apply for ilr based on 5 years PBS dependent.

You can apply to register your children as British on form MN1 as you hold ilr.
