Hello There,

I am on Tier 2 general visa and going to apply my ILR this month feb 2020. I have a question with regards to Maternity leave absence in last 5 years. I was on maternity leave from Oct 2016 till April 2017.

I understand that Maternity leave is exempt from 180 days leave criteria for ILR however I am not sure:

- if I need submit any letter issued by my employer mentioning Maternity absence and Statuary pay details
?

- Do I need to submit payslips/Bank statements during maternity leave.

Maternity leave outside the UK is not exempt from the 180 days absence limit.

My actually question was, I was on maternity leave in 2016 for 5 months during my work(was on SMP for 5 months) in UK only. I need to know if need any other additional document from my company or not.

After 5 months i did rejoined the company and started working as normal employee.

No. Just mention it in the employer letter

I know its very basic and repetitive question but still want to clarify my doubt on ILR eligibility days calculation and criteria.

My Visa granted dates are below

-> 16/03/2015 - Visa granted date and stamped on Passport
--> Entered in UK -- 07-05-2015
Visa expired --> 15 -4-2018

-----------------------------------------
Visa extended --> 12-03-2018 and
Visa expired date - 08-05-2021

Ques -> 1) Am I Eligible for ILR 28 days before Visa granted date ?
2) OR Will I be eligible 28 days before I entered in UK on 07-05-2015?

ON which basis this 28 days calculation based on?

As is answered daily on the forum, it counts from visa valid from date!!!
