Hi There,
I am applying for ILR along with my 5 yrs old daughter. I am currently on Tier 1 Dependent visa and my spouse is currently British citizen.
My Spouse who is British citizen gets child benefit for our 5 yrs old daughter. In the ILR application, there is a section which asks if we have received public funds. What shall i answer in that?
Thanks!

Answer Yes and explain your British partner is receiving it

The option says--
'Do you or anyone else who is part of this application receive any public funds'. Neither I or my daughter receives the benefit. It's my British citizen spouse who receives the benefit.
My husband called the HMRC child benefit office and they said the child benefit is only on one person name who is claiming and doesn't affect a child or any family member. So in that case, I think I should mention NO as the option.

It looks that it asks only about YOU. Simply answer NO in this case

Also, in the application, there is no section to enter any explanation.
