ILR put on hold because of released under investigation

I was recently arrested by the police and then released under investigation. Now I have received a letter from the Home Office stating "Given the serious nature of the alleged offences, a decision has been taken on public policy grounds not to determine the outcome of your application for residence documentation within the required six month service standard.
Your application is subject to regular review and a final decision will be taken in due course.
If you are in possession of any evidence to show that these proceedings have reached their conclusion, please send that information to UK Visas & Immigration at the address above".
I have not been charged by the police for any offence.
What can I do please?
Thank you
