Hi, thank you in advance. Both my wife and I are on our separate Tier 2 visas for over 4 years now. She will be eligible to apply ILR in December this year and I will be eligible in October.
My question is, if she changes her own Tier 2 visa to my dependent (of Tier 2) now, will her previous time with Tier 2 visa be counted towards 5-year period to be eligible for ILR application? Or her 5-year clock will be reset to 0 and she will need to wait another 5 years to be eligible for ILR application?
Thank you.

Not will not. She cannot combine tier 2 main visa holder and PBS dependent time to make up 5 years.

Yes.
