Long term ILR - Dependants extension

Hello all,
Hope you are all doing well in this lockdown situation!

I have few questions on my ILR and dependants status. Below are the details and questions.
I am eligible for ILR in long term route this year. Currently I am in Tier 2 General visa. I am eligible for ILR with Tier 2 general in 2022 end. So, I am thinking of going with long term route.

My questions are,
1. If I go with ILR in long term route in September 2020 this year, can I apply extension for my dependants in November 2020?
2. If that is not possible, I can go with Tier 2 Extension for myself and my Extension for my dependants. In November, I will be completing 3 years in Tier 2 general. When I go for extension, can we get extension for myself and my dependants for another 3 years?
3. My dependant will be completing 10 years if they can get extension of 3 more years ( UK entry date was in 2013, so they need valid visa for another 3 years to complete 10 years). If we get extension for 3 years, can we go for 10 years route ILR for my dependants?
4. If UK tier 2 general extension cannot be done for 3 + 3 years, what is the best way of getting ILR for my dependants

1. If you apply for ilr based on long residence, your dependents have to switch visa category to FLR M spouse visa and meet the financial and English requirement. This resets the 5 year ilr clock. You will not be able to extend their PBS dependent visas if you get ilr based on long residence.

2. Yes, if your sponsor issues a cos for 3 years.

3. Anyone can apply for ilr long residence if they meet all the requirements.

Thanks for your reply. Have further question if anyone can help me.

1. If Myself and my dependants go with Tier 2 General extension for another 3 years ( till 2023), can I apply ILR only for me immediately after Tier 2 General extension?
2. If so, can my dependants continue on Tier 2 General dependant visa till 2023 ( validity period of the extended visa)
3. If so, hope they can apply ILR in 2023 in 10 years route regardless of the clock reset. Is my understanding right?
4. My daughter would have completed 7 years by 2023, can she go for ILR at that time?

Thanks in advance.

1 & 2. If you apply for ilr based on long residence your dependents should switch to FLR m visa. Staying on tier 2 dependent can only work (if it is not curtailed after you get ilr) if they do NOT travel out of the UK. It is risky and they could be refused entry to the UK.

3. All visas count for 10 years and she must meet all the requirements, including the absence limits.

4. There is no "7 year ilr" route. The child can apply for ilr on m form set f when both parents have ilr if the child was born abroad.
