Unclear if you are applying for ILR after 5 years or if you are applying for the first spouse visa application outside the UK??

Settlement visa refers to a spouse visa for 2.5 years. ILR is NOT a 'visa'.

Post by Sudheek » Thu May 28, 2020 12:29 pm

Hi.
My wife's visa expiring in August first week ,
I heard visa automatically extending,
How to let them know that it's expiring, do we get any letter regarding that?

No, it is not automatic if expiring in August. You have 'heard' wrong.

For ILR you have to make an application and pay the fees.

If your wife's visa is expiring in August, then you need to renew it or submit the ILR application, as I can see from your previous post that your wife is on the 2 X 2.5 yrs route. Visa application can still be made and UKVCAS appointment centres are opening from Monday 1st June. So I don't know what is the concern with the visa expiring in August.
