Dear all,
I just booked my Life in the Uk test in London in August 2020 as the centers had backlogs.
My questions are:
1. Is the Life in the Uk test result really told verbally, like in front of everyone, not privately?
2. Is it sensible to book two tests with a 7 day gap in case the first one goes wrong?
3. Any general tips for preparing for this test from people who have PASSED it?
4. Is it really as hard as it seems with memorising a bunch of dates etc..?

1. You get the result privately, by email these days.
2. Your choice.
3. Read the book and do the practice tests available online or through many mobile apps.
4. Many pass first time. It is a multiple choice question test.

Life in the UK test needs a continuous reading and practicing. I took my life in the UK test today (8th June) at Croydon test centre.
I did it in only 5 minutes. It was a pass. I can still remember my 1st to 7th question, was so easy.

if you keep an eye on the availability on their website, you may be lucky to find a place sooner, as some people may cancel their test and system will automatically open up an available slot. So it may help if you prepare in advance.

Google "life in the uk test Web" and click on the top link. You will see a set of 15 exams which you need to practice hard.
22 of my 24 questions were from these 15 exams. I took my exam a month back and passed and so did my wife

I can vouch for this. If you do only those 15 exams thoroughly, you will pass the test. Note, that website has “tests” and “exams”. Do the 15 “EXAMS” not tests.
