i have a question that my wife's 5 years stay in UK is going to be completed next year as a spouse of British citizen, our child (5.5 years old child) is also on 5 years route (both mother and child came in UK same time, on 5 years route).

My first question is this that do I need to pay as same fee as my wife's ILR application, for our child. Or is there any difference in fee for children's ILR application?

Second question, do I have to apply first for ILR for child, or can I apply directly for Registration as British for child and no need to for ILR?

"The current fee for an Indefinite Leave to Remain application is £2,389. For each additional person in your application, a further £50 will be charged."

What i understand from this text that I do not need to pay £2,389 twice, one for my wife's ILR and one for my child's ILR. But just need to add my child's name in my wife's ILR application and pay addtional £50. Means £2439 only in total, for both (mother and a child). Am I right? Please correct me if I understood wrong. Each person applying pays the same fee, so for your wife and child it is 2 X £2389.

Child requires ilr before you can apply for citizenship if the child was born abroad.

It is incorrect. You have to pay £2389 for each applicant.

The website is wholly incorrect. It is possible that they are referring to their own fee of £50 per additional applicant, but it certainly is not the UKVI fee structure. For ILR, the fee is £2389 for EACH person applying, regardless of age.

I hope they do not need the Language and Life-in-UK test from a 5 years old child. Correct?
Because I read on another website (i can provide the link), that a child also has to provide language and Life-in-UK test, sounds crazy for me. Please guide me on this matter also.

No, it is only for those 18 years and older, as clearly stated on UKVI website.

I suggest you stop reading nonsense incorrect websites. You should refer to the official HO websites and guidance only!!

Just another quick question. Do we need to pay the IHS (NHS) fee as well with ILR applications? Or no anymore?

IHS is NOT payable for ILR, never has been either.

Hi memebers,
I'm British citizen, and my spouse/wife is going to apply ILR next year. I'm thinking to start a small business in EU country, while i'm living and working in UK as well. If i would start a small business in EU country and get registered myself over there then would is effect my wife's ILR application?
