ILR English exams

Hi all,
My wife’s current spouse visa will expire on 9th June. She is due to apply for her ILR in May but her B1 exam and Life in the UK keep getting cancelled due to Covid. Her next scheduled exam is going to be after June. What are her options if she wanted to apply for ILR? Does she have to apply for extension on her current visa then re apply for ILR? Or can we just submit the application for ILR and submit the exam results once she is allowed to take them? I phoned UKVI about this and they told me they cant advise and should seek immigration lawyer
Thank you

She must apply and submit the ILR form online before her visa expires.

No.
Or can we just submit the application for ILR and submit the exam results once she is allowed to take them?
Yes. There is an extensive existing topic about this.

Thanks for the response. When submitting for ILR it asks for the exam reference and asks if she meets the English language requirements. Since she doesnt have B1 or life in the UK test do we need to provide a statement that we are submitting the application on the basis she should hopefully do her exams before the biometrics appointment?

HO is fully aware of the current issues. No one will be penalised because of it.
Book the exams as soon as the centres reopen. Then book the biometrics appointment when those centres reopen. In the meantime, she must apply and submit online before her visa expires and then upload the test certs once done.

Hi all,
I am in the process if uploading supporting documents to the UKVCAS website for Set(M). Do I need to bring all the documents I have to the biometrics appointment (such as council tax bill, utility bill) or is it just the core documents I need to take with me such as passports? The employer letter was sent to me digitally and my payslips are all downloaded from company website.
Any advice appreciated.

If it is possible then the supporting documents must be taken to the ukvcas centre despite were self uploaded while attending the appointment. Because in case of anything being missed/deleted by error/mistake can be sorted out by their staff before forwarding the documents to UKVI.

Thanks for the reply. So even though the official documents are stored online only I should print them and take them to the appointment? I assume its not a requirement to bring the supporting docs with you but there as a back up?

Hi all,
Anyone used the document checking service at biometrics appointment? Do they have to see a paper copy of each document before they submit to UKVCAS? The thing is Majority of my official documents are online only, such as Bank statements, payslips, council tax bills. If I had to upload a document at the appointment can I do it if the original document is stored online?
Thanks for any advice

Online evidence is acceptable
