ILR 5 Years Tier 2 Route

I applied ILR in March 2020 via priority and received an email two days after the Biomatic enrollment saying my application would be delayed due to exceptional complex issues. I suspect this was due to my sponsor hasn't updated my profile since I applied for my Tier 2 visa five years ago. Do you think this would lead to an investigation by the Tier 2 compliance team? If yes, how long will the investigation take? Would you suggest me to contact my local MP?
