Within 28 days of completing your 5 years, counting from the date of your first entry to the UK. You can take the LIUK test anytime you like

You can include older children in your application if they both:
• were under 18 when they got permission to be in the UK as your dependant
• still do not live an independent life - for example, they have not left home, got married or had children
If they turn 18 before you apply, they also need to:
• pass the Life in the UK Test
• meet the English language requirements

Children do NOT have a 5-year residence requirement. They can be granted ILR when both parents are settled in the UK

Son may
apply for ILR.
Section D-LTRC: Decision on application for leave to remain as a child
D-LTRC.1.1. If the applicant meets the requirements for leave to remain as a child the applicant will be granted leave to remain of a duration which will expire at the same time as the leave granted to the applicant’s parent, and will be subject to the same conditions in respect of recourse to public funds as that parent.
To qualify for indefinite leave to remain as a child of a person with indefinite leave to remain as a partner or parent, the applicant must meet the requirements of paragraph 298 of these rules.

Thank you
I am very sorry to be a pain, it is just very confusing and stressful. Because the fees are very expensive and I'm scared to get refused.
Of what I understood when he was granted leave to enter in September 2018 and whilst I hold leave to remain status my son is actually under the leave to remain visa? So when it's time for me to apply for ILR I can add him to it as my dependent?
Thank u again so much

English B1 test and Life in the UK test is mandatory for your child over 18.
A level results are NOT sufficient.

Hopefully, GCSE or A level English
may be acceptable in place of B1 in the future. But not quite yet.
