ILR Accommodation Query

Hi All

I've just joined this fantastic forum, the service it provides is tremendous. I'd like to ask a question regarding the documents to provide in relation to accommodation for ILR on 5 year route for my wife

We are currently renting due to moving house last year for my new job. Initially the 6 month tenancy agreement was put in my name and then after 6 months for the last 12, I had my wife added to it as a 'permissive tenant' so her name appears on the agreement, the letting agent & landlord know she lives with us but she did not need to be reference checked

My question is, would I still need a letter from the letting agent stating they have no obligations to her living in the property if her name is on the tenancy agreement?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered in another topic or if the answer is obvious. The visa process certainly makes you question everything

Many thanks

David

ILR Continuous Residence & Absences

Hi

My wife and I are finalising the last documents for our Set M 5 year route application and wanted to check two things we have seen conflicting information on.

The first is regarding evidence of continuous residence. She is American and I am British, I have read previously that her passport is all that should be required for this as it's been stamped on entry, is this correct or do we need to send evidence going back the whole five years?

Also, the same regarding absences, the only time she has left the country is with me on holidays (which were few and far between), do we need to list these showing each dates and the reasons she was out of the country as it states in the online application NOT to records holidays of less than two weeks but then posts from applicants being refused as they haven't provided any evidence?

Many thanks in advance for any help

Passports only and 2 years evidence of cohabitation in both your names from 3 to 6 different sources, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.
No harm listing them. There is no absence requirment anyway. It won't have any negative impact if you post them. No evidence is required either other than passports.
