Dependent Child with ILR turns 18 - what changes?

Hi! My family includes two children under 18. A couple of years ago we applied for ILR and received it.
Children were listed as dependents.

My question is: even though this is still a number of years away, what happens when they turn 18? Do they retain the same status they have right now? Do they have to re-apply for ILR? Would they have to leave the UK in order to do that?

Hello

If your children received an ILR, they keep the ILR when they turn 18. Nothing will change.

Also important to remember that ilr is lost if you leave the UK for 2 years or more and this applies to adults and children.

Thank you both. I dont intend to lose ILR (intentionally or otherwise), so I guess this is my question answered then :)

Do you plan on applying for citizenship for the family at some point?
