Hi,
I am in Tier 2 General visa from November 2019. I came to India on Mar 16, 2020 for a family visit and unable to travel back to UK due to COVID-19 Lock down. It has been 5 months I am in India. I learned that "No more than 180 days’ absences are allowed in a consecutive 12-month period for applying ILR" from below link. Are there any exceptions If the applicant(Tier 2 General) is outside UK for more than 180 days due to COVID-19? Home office guideline in below link doesn't show any exception due to COVID-19. Appreciate your help.

There has been no change to the absence limit for PBS route visa holders.

Thanks for your response. In case I exceed 180 days of absence, will the 5 year ILR clock reset.

Yes. You need to start your ILR continuous period from scratch
