Remote working abroad

Hi all,

I am planning to apply my ILR in 2021 from Tier 2 in 5 years route.

From company policy, I started WFH in the UK from March as full time with pay.
In July, my father had a big surgery and I needed to support family so came to my home country.

below is my time frame.

First 3 weeks : Quarantine periods WFH aborad with pay
Next 3 weeks: Paid annual leave (I am in this period at the moment)
Last 5 weeks: WFH abroad with pay

Total staying is around 80 days and no more than 180 days in a year.

so my question is.

1. WFH abroad with pay for applying ILR is no issue? If it is risky, I should go back to UK after annual leave. please advise this from other people's experience.

2. Also in order to prepare some document for this situation, what kind document do I needed?

3. Do I need to get a help from laywer for preparing ILR process?

Thank you in advance.

Hi CR001,

Yes, I could not apply ILR based on 10 years long residence.

I have checked SAR right after posting this and I missed few trips..
Therefore it is over 540 days, so I need to apply from Tier 2 route.

Thank you.

Thank you Zimba,

I will ask company this documents.

Is there any limitation in terms of number of days they allow?
I have looked at all guideline, but there is no information about this.

Also is it allowed because of Covid-19 or it was okay before Covid-19?

Thank you in advance.
