Hi Gurus

I am filling up set(o) tier 2 Dependent application for my wife online. Everything is filled up but only one question I am confused about is :

Does the period of stay on which this application was based includes any leave granted since11 January 2018?

Yes No

If you choose ‘yes’ the next question appears

Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave to granted since 11 January 2018?

Yes No

I don’t know what to choose ; below is the visa circumstances:

Visa granted (BRP dates) : 9 July,2015 to 31 May, 2018
Visa extended (BRP dates): 12 July, 2018 to 08 May, 2021

she has no single absence from 2015 to now from UK yet.

your help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you

It is YES as her second visa was granted after this date.

Not sure why it is unclear. It is simply asking if she has had any absences since her visa was granted in July 2018, ie. leave granted since 11 January 2019. You need to list all of them as this period of her residence is subject to the absence limits.
she has no single absence from 2015 to now from UK yet.
If she has not left the UK since 2015, then answer NO to the 'have you had any absence from the UK' question. They are not trick questions.

Thank you very much. Of course the question(s) are not tricky but was wondering why the question is asked bit differently instead of straight forward I.e. By putting the specific date month and year (11 jan, 2018)

Was bit lost getting the term “Leave to Enter” and “Leave to Remain” on both BRPs issued so was in dilemma to choose Yes or No hence I thought to check with Gurus.

You guys are always helpful and i apologise if asking some silly questions annoys you guys.

Best wishes
