ILR too slow?

I submitted my case on 20th August, and was asked for a document on 24th. It's not actually a document request, just a query -- because I only submitted with my daughter, without including my wife (who hasn't reached 5-year threshold as a dependent as she came to the UK later). I replied to their email on the same day and haven't heard anything since then.

I saw from the timeline thread that, the processing time is basically within days. So, I am just wondering if it is only my case that is slower or there are other August cases that haven't reached a decision.

Thanks.

What visa category are you applying through?

Where was your child born, UK or abroad?

She doesn't qualify for ilr until your spouse does if they both hold tier 2 dependent visas. This is clearly stated in the immigration rules, 319J (e)

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ly-members
(e) Both of an applicant’s parents must either be lawfully settled in the UK, or being granted indefinite leave to remain at the same time as the applicant,

Child's ilr will likely be refused and you will lose the fee.

still haven't got anything yet. Is there anyway we can ask them to expediter the process?

No. Usually only possible for exceptionally compassionate reasons. Standard application could take up to 6 months.
