Question on timeline - T2 General to ILR

Post by sh1234 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 3:17 pm

Hello All,

I am on a T2 General for 5 years, and my spouse on a T2 dependent.
My T2 issue date: 02-08-2017
Spouse T2 issue date: 21-09-2017
Both T2 expiry date: 03-09-2022

I believe I qualify to apply (visa ISSUE date + 5 years - 28 days) for ILR on 05-07-2022, and my spouse on 24-08-2022, both dates before our current visa expires. Can someone just confirm if I understand the process correctly below?

I am planning on applying for ILR on the same form for both me and my spouse sometime between 25-08-2022 and 02-09-22. Once my application has been validated, our current visa will be extended by virtue of Section 3C while a decision is pending.

Questions:
1. Is there any risk of going with the standard processing vs priority or super priority (assuming a successful application of course)?

2. My CoS expires on 13-08-2020. How is this affected?

Thanks for any advice!!!!
