When to submit ILR documents ?

Hi,

I have an ILR appointment on 19th oct at an enhanced service point. I have uploaded all the documents to the site but I am confused when to submit them.
In one of the mails it says that- "you can submit documents to UKVI up to 2 days before appointment".
My queries are :-
1- Should I submit them before appointment or wait for the appointment ?
2- As per my understanding at ukvcas centre, they will check my uploaded documents quality and if anything missing and then submit on my behalf. Is this correct?

Thanks.

Please keep all your questions in one thread. Mods please merge topics.

The best approach is to self-submit documents even before biometrics and benefit from the new feature which was launched on 10th July. You can only benefit from this option up to 48 hours before your appointment. You can add any more documents at your appointment if need be.

After you self-submit, no physical documents are needed at the appointment. However carry all originals only. No need to print soft copies. Passport and appointment confirmation is mandatory only.

UP TO 48 hours before appointment. You can not self-submit otherwise. You will have to submit at the appointment then.

I think you meant: What is the benefit of self-submission?

Well this option was introduced on 10th July to rescue applicants caught up due to the corona pandemic and backlogs with UKVI/UKVCAS.

10th July onwards, applicants were able to submit documents directly to UKVI even before biometrics.

Previously, applicants had to wait months to attend biometrics so it helped them. Interim decisions were made even before biometrics and their decisions sped up after they submitted biometrics.

Since your appointment is on 19th Oct, you can benefit from the 10 days left and self-submit or let the staff submit for you at the appointment itself. The benefit for you is little compared to earlier applicants who had to wait months for biometrics but still its a good approach to follow.
