SET(O) IRL Help! Errors spotted in Employer absence letter after application submission

Hi,

I have just submitted my application for Set(O) ILR on the 5-year Tier 2 General route and am in the process of uploading my documents. However, I found that there are a few errors/ potential errors on the proof of absence letter that my old employer provided. The errors are:

1. For all the absences post 2018, my old employer has asked me to fill in a form similar to the template below, which lists all specific dates spent outside of the country. However, in my case, only full days outside of the country are included in the letter, not the half days that were the date of departure and arrival. Would it be a problem as on my application I put the departure and arrival dates?

indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-list-of- ... 64235.html

2. For one of my travels destinations, I've accidentally put down 'Vienna' instead of Austria when writing to my old employer and so it was on the letter.

3. On the travel reasons of one of the trips, the travel reason was accidentally omitted.

4. The letter head of the letter has this line 'Error! No text of specified style in document' which is likely due to some technical errors in printing out the template.

As I have submitted my application yesterday (10 Oct) and I have read on the forum that all supporting documents should be dated prior to the application date. Is it still ok to ask my old employer to provide a revised version of the letter? If so, do I submit both versions and explain the differences or do I only submit the amended version?

If I couldn't provide a revised version, what could I do instead?

Thank you very much for your advice in advance

No problem, a reasonable man will make the connection.
3. On the travel reasons of one of the trips, the travel reason was accidentally omitted.

If you have an updated correct version, whats is the reason to put the erroneous one?

If I couldn't provide a revised version, what could I do instead? Cover letter highlighting and explaining/correcting the errors.

Thank you very much for your advice in advance

@AmazonianX Thank you very much for your quick reply!

I will try to get the old HR team to provide an updated letter with at least #3,4 corrected.

On this 'If you have an updated correct version, whats is the reason to put the erroneous one?' -
It is purely because the date of the letter could be after the date of my application since I'm only asking for an amended version now. I will, however, try to get the new version before my biometric appointment next month. Would the date be a major problem?

As long its dated before biometrics, you will be okay. Add a note in the cover letter for amended employer letter also.

Thank you @CULLINAN. Do I have to upload the old version of the letter prior to the appointment, or just the new version + a note in the cover letter?

Have you already self-submitted documents before biometrics? If yes, then add a cover letter and amended version before biometrics.

If you have not self-submitted documents, just remove the old one and add new one before biometrics. Also, leave a note that the employer letter was amended so its dated after application.

I haven't yet self submitted all my documents. Thank you, I'll just submit the new one and explain that it is dated after application since it was amended.
