Absences Letter

Hello Team,

I have successfully changed my employer under Tier-2 visa, and I understand that I would need an employment letter, and an absences letter from my previous employer when time comes for me to apply for indefinite leave to remain. I have seen few templates on this forum, and other forum but most of them are old (the one attached in this form was posted back in 2010).

Does anyone have recently used sample? And what are the details should be provided per absence -so I can request the letter from my old employer-? I understand that start date, return date, total number of days are musts. But should the letter also mention the countries where I travelled ? should it mention the exact working days? etc.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Cullinan, the link provided redirects me to (https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa) for some reason.

Can you please provide the document ?

You only need absence letter from previous employer!

Yes, I understand. I want to get the absence letter from the previous employer to be prepared for my irl application in 2 years.

My questions is, should the absence letter mention the countries visited on annual leaves and business trips? or is it ok if the employer ignored that? (i understand that the attached template only lists the countries for business trips) but is it a must?

Thanks :)

All your employer has to mention is that your annual leave was authorised by them. Not necessarily they mention all dates.
