Hello All,

I arrived in UK on 17-Feb-2016 (BRP Issue Date 02-Feb-2016) on Tier 2 General, however, started working from 1st March 2016.

Question 1: When (earliest date) can I apply for ILR?

Question 2: Since I switched my employer once in 2018 March and if the old employer does not give me a letter of continuous residence (which has dates when I was out of the country during that time) would that be a problem?

Question 3: Is there any portal from where I can find the list of documents required so that I can start preparing from now? The Gov.uk does not provide much information.

I am in the process of applying for ILR as I currently hold a Tier 2 General Visa. One of the documents required in the application check list is to provide "NARIC letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognized standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK"

Question: I have a bachelor's degree from a US State University. Do I have to use NARIC services to pay for Visas and Nationality Service (English proficiency) which is roughly £140.00 + VAT* (£168.00) .

If your degree is not from a UK university you’ll need:

a copy of your degree certificate
an Academic Qualification Level Statement (AQUALS) from UK NARIC confirming the degree is equivalent to a UK qualification.

Hi,

One of the requirements when filing for the ILR is to submit the latest bank statement of the salary account.

My question is that does it matter how much funds you have in the account or as long as the salary is paid/reflected in the account per the COS is all that matters?

Funds doesn't matter, it's the salary on pay slip that should match to your bank statement

I am preparing documents for applying for ILR and find below the summary of absences (These include public holidays and weekends as well):

1st Year : 30
2nd Year: 51
3nd Year: 43
4nd Year: 59
5nd Year: 78

I was continuously employed during the entire duration and had changed employer once after the initial 2 years.

I am in the process of requesting the letters from both my employers and wanted to ask

1. Is it okay to mention the reason as "Paid Annual Leave". I was employed during that time and was paid in full. Some of the travel was over the weekend and bank holiday or do I need to have another reason category like "Bank Holiday/Weekend"

2. In year 5 (2020 - 78 days) I had traveled to Europe and was working remotely. So it is okay to mention "Paid Annual Leave" or need to call out "Worked Remotely", will this cause any concern?

I presume you have now had your ILR processed.
I will be grateful if you can let me know your experience.

Especially regarding unpaid leave , and absences more than 30 in any rolling year

The changes appear to require no qualification for absences under 180 days.
