I would like to ask some questions regarding to finance evidence to apply for ILR via Tier 2 Ministry of Religion (MOR).

I notice that there is some difference between Tier 2 General and Tier 2 MOR about preparing docs for Finance evidence.

There are clear guidance for T2 General but no clear guidance for T2 MOR.

The situation is,
My organisation does not pay, and we are all registered as Self employed. So basically we are living with personal supporting and it is totally fine with getting T2 MOR and sponsorship letter says like, 'he or she will get enough fund by themselves' something like that. And of course there will be similar wording in the letter from them for my ILR application.

We always don't need finance evidence for applying T2 MOR. Does it apply to my ILR application as well?

It looks like some of us provided their personal bank statement to show their supporting but some maybe not. I am not very sure and there is no clear guidance in this organisation.

If your answer is 'prepare any docs to show there are financial supporting', then my questions are,

1.should I prepare the 'Original bank statement' if I get one from my own country? Or is it ok with copied one?

2. I also have second religious job here in the UK and it is payed job. Should I include the pay slips to show I can manage my family's life here?

3. my wife has a full time job here and she is dependent of my T2 MOR. Should I include her pay slip as well?

4. There is another question regarding to providing address evidence of my children. I don't think I have enough address evidence of my children. I only have NHS letter from 4 years ago. Should I get any letter from their school or my sponsor says that they are living with us?


I am so sorry to throwing a lot of questions but I desperately need HELP since I can't find experts of ILR through T2 MOR around me.

When it says 'permission to stay' or 'Tier 2 (Minister of Religion) leave to remain', do they indicate ILR?

No. ILR is covered under Settlement as a T2 Minister of Religion

However, I could not understand fully your answers. Sorry. Would you be kind for me to explain a bit more?

My question was about financial evidence  for ILR application as I am currently with Tier 2 MOR and I can apply for ILR - settlement- in Feb 2021.

You kindly provided the link which talks about Tier 2 MOR rules. And it also uses the words 'permission to stay' and 'Tier 2 MOR leave to remain'. So I thought that those 2 words maybe indicate settlement via Tier 2 MOR. Now I think it is my misunderstanding as you said in your second answer.

However, then is there a reason why you gave me the link when I was asking about finance evidence for applying for settlement via Tier 2 MOR? Would you please explain a bit more as you mentioned 'There is no financial requirement to meet for ILR'? (Maybe my English is not good enough to understand clearly as I read the thing in the link.. but I only see that the link is just talking about Tier 2 MOR as you said those two words does not mean settlement.)

The link I sent you is an appendix of the immigration rules that fully covers the Tier 2 MOR route. If you pay attention you can see it is separated into sections each covering a topic. The entry clearance means an initial visa, permission to stay or leave to remain means extension and settlement means ILR or indefinite leave to remain. The section that covers settlement tells you the eligibility requirements for ILR and as you see there is no financial requirement.
