Hi ,
I will be making an application for my ILR in March as I will complete 10 years by then only by LR route. My wife came to UK in the year 2016 and she is on Tier 2 General visa as main applicant and I am her dependant. Will she be eligible to apply as dependant along with my ILR application ?

No she cannot. Set LR doesn't permit dependents to apply with you.
She can apply for ilr when she qualifies through tier 2 general.

Hi CR001, Will she be eligible to apply for FLR until I get a decision?

She should stay under the skilled worker route and qualify for ILR on her own.

The OP is applying ILR under 10 year route. OP's wife is a Tier 2 General main applicant since 2016.
Wouldn't it make sense for the OP's wife to apply ILR through Tier 2 General 5 year route in 2021.
Switching to FLR will reset the ILR clock to 0?

I agree with this. We are in 2021 already.

You are correct. My advice above was incorrect as I thought she is the dependant.
@AKANTONY I now corrected my advice.

Hi Zimba,
I am sorry, there's been a miscommunication.
I was the main Tier 2 General applicant until August 2020 and then my wife was my Tier 2 dependent. When my visa was expiring ,her employer sponsored her and then she became Tier 2 main applicant in August 2020 and I became her dependant. Now her job is on the verge for redundancy. My questions are as following,
1. When I apply for my ILR based on Long Residence will she be able to apply for FLR -M?
2. Will my wife then eligible to work during the application processing period?

1. Yes if she/you meet all the requirements.
2. While she has an application pending, her tier 2 visa conditions continue which means she can only work for her toe 2 sponsor. When FLR M visa is granted, then she can work for anyone else.

ILR - SET (LR)

I made SET (LR) application while my visa status is Tier 2 dependent. My wife's been made redundant today. Is she eligible to put an FLR application. We both are unemployed now.

If unemployed and without sufficient savings and wife isn’t eligible for SET(LR), etc.,
then use
FLR(FP) family life as a partner (10 year route).
