Hi team,
I have been working in UK with T2-ICT (6y 4m) and T2- general(3y 8m) past 10years. I like go for ILR with 10y route. But I had taken 196 days continuous absence for Maternity in total which includes (All my Paid , Sick and Maternity leave).
Would I be able to apply for ILR on long residential basis? Is there any difference if it was C-section? Or Normal delivery?
Thanks

If you had a
continuous period of absence which was longer than 180 days from the UK, then your continuous residence is broken. It does not matter what was the reason

You don't qualify for ILR based on long residence because of the long single absence.
I suggest you wait till you have 5 years on tier 2 general and apply for ilr based on 5 years residence using form SET O.

Thanks Team for swift response. Very much appreciate it. Sadly, I have no choice but to wait another year.
