hi, can someone please tell that when submitting the online application for ILR or DL(FLR) how many supporting documents can we upload online? is there any limit on documents numbers or can we upload as many as we want according to our application? specially in cases where main applicant has dependents as well in same application so is there any limit on uploading supporting documents online with application?
thanks for your time.

No limit on documents uploading. Each file should be less than 6MB though.

ILR applying inquiry

Hi,
We applied asylum in the UK in july 2010. It was refused but later in 2013 we were granted DL for two and half years and it’s been extended since then. My two children were born here.
Can we now apply for settlement ILR on the bases of 10 years from the date we applied asylum?
Thanks

Hi, we have Discretionary leave to remain which will expire in January 2022. My question is if we apply for settlement ILR on 10 years long residency basis now, if ILR is granted then good but if refused then our current valid Discretionary leave to remain will still remain valid till 2022? and we can apply for renewal like normally we do every time before it’s expiry?
Thanks

If ILR is refused, you our existing visas remain valid. They are not cancelled.

If ilr is refused, you lose the ilr fees you paid.

hi, first of all sorry about 2nd id.
My question is,
we applied asylum 2010, we never missed any signing at home office during asylum period and stayed in the accommodation provided by the home office. later in 2013 we were granted DL and we kept extended our leave in time till now. my question is that i want to apply ILR settlement on 10 years long residency route. can i count 10 years form the date i applied asylum and was given temporary admission from 2010? one of my family friend's son applied from the date of asylum and he has been granted ILR few days ago. i wanted to double check before applying so i thought this forum is very good for better advice. thanks

Hi,
For ILR 10 years route, can we count 10 years starting from when we applied asylum and were given temporary admission and later were granted DL?
I requested this question earlier as well but did not receive any clear response. Your answer might be helpful for us. Thanks

276A
(b) “lawful residence” means residence which is continuous residence pursuant to:
  • (i) existing leave to enter or remain; or
  • (ii) temporary admission within section 11 of the 1971 Act (as previously in force), or immigration bail within section 11 of the 1971 Act, where leave to enter or remain is subsequently granted; or
  • (iii) an exemption from immigration control, including where an exemption ceases to apply if it is immediately followed by a grant of leave to enter or remain.

Thanks vinny, I really appreciate your response, thanks.
We were granted temporary admission in july 2010 and later in 2013 were granted DL and we kept extending DL in time till now, so that means 10 years completed?

Hi, i passed my Life in UK test in 2017, i want to apply iLR now in near future. Can i still use that pass certificate or do i have to pass the life in UK test again? And if i can use test certificate 2017, then what certificate number should I mention on the form because new certificates have long and different style references numbers, but old certificates have only digits “test instance id”
Does online form has option to enter old style certificate numbers too?
Thanks
