Dear Moderators,

I am applying for ILR this month in the PBS dependent route. Have a query regarding the english language requirements.

Section: In the SET(O) application- 'English language - degree taught in English' section
My degree was taught in English, however in the current Covid situation prevailing in my home country,India; I am unable to get the following documents to submit UK NARIC to prove my language requirements

Documents needed from Uni:
1) Medium of instruction was English
2) Transcript

I was hoping to do the B1 test and have booked for the same with Trinity college next week. However while filling up the application for ILR, I am seeing the following questions in SET(O).

Question 1: English language - degree taught in English- Yes [my Degree & PG both were taught in English]
Question 2: Country your degree was taught in: India
Question 3: Does your degree meet the English language requirement for this visa?: Yes[It is valid]

When I do this, I will be asked to apply to NARIC with the relevant documents mentioned above. However if I say no to Question 3, I can give my B1 Exam results in the next page.

My query:
1) Could I be able to write B1 to complete my English language requirement in this case?
2) If yes to #1, which option should I select to make sure I can give my B1 results and not be providing incorrect info to UKVI?

I want to give the right details to UKVI and give my B1 exam pass certificate, kindly help.

Kindest Regards,
Sail

Select NO to degree taught in English. Rely on B1 SELT and input details then. UKVI is only interested how you meet the requirements. Your degree taught in English does not meet the requirements for UK immigration application.
