Hi,

I would like some advice on whether I am eligible to file for ILR under the 10 Year Long Residence Route.

1. I came to the UK in 2014 on ICT Tier 2 Visa.
2. I switched to PBS Dependant Visa in 2019 with my wife on Tier 2 General Visa (until 2022).
3. I am going to switch to Skilled Worker Visa again from 2022 up to 2024 due to my wife's visa expiry.
4. I will complete my 10 years of residence in the UK in 2024.
5. I spent around 350 days out of the country in these 10 years with 7 months out of the country
without a UK visa serving a cooling-off period.

Please could you advise if I am eligible to file for ILR in 2024 under the 10 Year Long Residence Route?

If not, then I have to switch to Skilled Worker Visa for 5 years to be eligible for ILR in 2027.

Appreciate your inputs.

Regards
HK

All visas count for long residence ilr.

However, if you have any single absence of 180 days in one go, your residence is broken and you don't qualify for ilr based in long residence
