Set M Financial - both partners' documents?

Hi All,

I am just about ready to submit my ILR Set M application, wanted to clarify a couple of things that I am unclear on and any expert guidance would be much appreciated.

Background:
I am the applicant and my partner (husband) is a British citizen.
Both my partner & I are employed for more than 6 months with our respective employers and individually earn more than £18,600 each.

My questions are

1. Is it enough that I submit details of only my employment and leave out my partner's employment details or is it mandatory to submit employment details for both partners?

2. In case I do have to submit employment details for both partners, the bank statements for my husband are from 15th Dec - 27th May ( a few days short of 6 months, however it shows monthly salary being credited for past 6 months), do I need to go back to the bank to get exactly six months statements or is this ok?
(the bank says it will take 12 working days to generate this and I ideally do not want to delay this further)

3. Finally, what is the better option, submitting both partner's employment details or just mine?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is no requirement to submit both when one's salary is above the requirements

Hi Again,

I have a question about my (applicant's) bank statements and was hoping to get your view:

For the months of Dec - April: I have 5 bank statements, one for each month showing salary credit

For the month of May 2021 (current month): I have
1. Bank Statement from 11th May to 17th May
2. Bank Statement from 17th May to 26th May
3. Bank Statement from 26th May to 28th May (showing salary credit)

All days upto 28th May (yesterday) are covered but it's split into 3 separate statements over 3 pages.

I have tried to get my bank to consolidate the statements for May but did not have any luck despite visiting the branch and talking to the helpline. They claim that as the statements have already been generated in this fashion, they cannot go back and change.

My question is:

Will this be a problem for my application? Do I need to put a cover letter explaining this?
I am worried that they might miss the salary credit for May as it is on the last page. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

I am a little worried about this and would appreciate some guidance.

Many Thanks.

It should not be a problem

Thanks once again Zimba.

Do you think any kind of explanation in a cover letter is necessary?

Thank you so much, I was able to submit my application.

Had a quick question about the co-habitation letters/documents for my Set M application

Is it ok to submit utility bills downloaded from utility service providers, electronic credit card statements from online accounts etc., would they be acceptable as proof of cohabitation for my visa application category- Set M?

Many thanks.

Any document can be used. There is no specific requirement

Apologies for seeking clarification again,

My specific doubt is online letters are ok for Set M cohabitation proof and the letters don’t actually have to be posted physically to the applicant’s home address ?

Many thanks,

Any evidence can be used (physical or electronic)

Hi,

I have submitted my documents and now have my appointment in 2 days time.

Am slightly worried about the co-habitation documents just wanted to check:

1. Are credit card bills considered acceptable as proof of co-habitation
2. Also are Pension documents like letters from Std. Life, Scottish Widows etc. acceptable as proof of co-habitation
3. Is it ok to scan the first page of a statement/letter with name & address or the whole document needs to be scanned?
4. Finally how many different sources are required for co-habitation documents?

Really appreciate all your help.

Many Thanks.

I repeat again that ANY evidence can be used and also there is NO specific requirement on the type or the number of sources under the rules. Provide whatever you have, covering the last two years

Thanks once again Zimba.

Could you also confirm that it is ok to scan the first page of a statement/letter with name & address for Co-habitation proof and that the whole document need not be scanned?

Many Thanks

If you provide a document I suggest to scan it all.

Thanks Zimba.

I have already self submitted the documents scanning only first page, do you suggest I re-submit this set of documents during my appointment?

Or would that be confusing for the caseworker?

Many thanks

You are overthinking this. This evidence will not be make or break for your ILR.

I absolutely agree Zimba, I am overthinking this.

Just to be sure I am understanding you correctly should I leave it as is ? ( with only first page scanned)

Many thanks
