Hi,

I am british. My wife is currently on spouse visa and kid is on dependent visa. Another child is british citizen.

Their visa is expiring on 06 July 2021. But they will complete their 5 years in Feb 2021. I am planning to apply somewhere in May or June next year.

I am self employed as well as my wife is also self employed. We both receive payments weekly in our individual bank accounts.

I am currently claiming Universal Credit under my name also receiving my self emp payments.

We havent registered as self employed yet. Will register as soon as possible.

Is it better to show my wifes self employment only?

Also what are the documents I need to provide for self employement?

Last question is what are the other documents I need to provide?

Many thanks in advance

You must provide the latest self-assessment 2019-20 and other documents. There is a whole guide on family route and finances (See Catagory F or G): https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -ext_1.pdf

Visa expiring 2021 in June. So I guess it should be 2020-21?

Hi,

I am self employed. I receive weekly payments and invoices every week. My wife and kids ILR is due in March 2021 but visa is valid until 09 June 2021. I am planning to apply after March next year.

After filing self assessment in May next year what else I need to show to prove current income at the time of application.
I will have weekly invoices but what about the tax?

Since I will pay tax for 2020 after self assessment next year I would like to know what happens to the current income tax in regards to the application for ILR. How can I do this.

Gurus kindly help me.

Thanks

You have now been told to go read the guide several times including when you asked in July :?
Experience of others is irrelevant. You are required to follow the immigration rules

Self employment is one of the trickiest way to meet the requirement because of entailing an extensive range of documents unlike to paye employment where a skeleton set of documents are needed. It means even if you will find someone's experience won't actually be beneficial for you.

No magical pathway exists, all knowledge and experience are aligned with the immigration rules and official guides. We can help you with clarifications and guidance only. The UKVI has made is quite clear on what you must provide. It seems you are not prepared to go and read the document.

Hi,

I am bit confused because on Gov.Uk website they mentioned last date for self assessment online filing is 28 Feb. Financial year ends is 05 April.

My wife visa expires on 06 June 21. She completes five years in 05 feb.
Do I need to wait until April for filing?

Thanks in advance

The evidence submitted must cover the relevant financial year(s) most recently ended. READ THE GUIDE :!: :!: :!:

We both are self employed. Can I just show my wife's income? Or do I need to show mine?

Either of your income or both can be used. This depends on if you need to supplement the income to cover the requirements or not

Thanks for the reply.
Also I wanted to clarify as per the latest announcement by HO regarding minimum income requirements. Those who lost their income due to pandemic if they apply before May 2021. They can still show their income from their previous employment before income loss. Is this true?

My last employment was from 2017 till Oct 2019 which I can show for my wife Ilr. I was earning £30000 plus annually.
I just don’t want to get into my wife self assessment hassle. If I can sponsor by my previous income.

I would really appreciate any clarifications.

Regards

From p71:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf

a temporary loss of employment income between 1 March (*) and 31 May 2021 due to COVID-19, will be disregarded provided the minimum income
requirement was met for at least 6 months immediately prior to the date the income was lost - this is for a loss of employment income between 1 March 2020 to 31 May 2021 due to COVID-19 an applicant or sponsor furloughed under the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will be deemed as earning 100% of their salary

(*) I think there is a typographic omission in the guidance and 2020 should be inserted here.

You lost your job in Oct 2019, 4 - 5 months before the start of the period to which the above concession applies. Unless there is something relevant in your personal circumstances that you didn't disclose I don't think you can rely on this concession.
