Hi Guys,

Need guidance with regards to calculating continuous period of 5 years for my ILR Application based on the below

First Entry Clearance: 25/04/2017
First Entry to UK: 07/05/2017
Current Residence Permit Expiry: 13/04/2022

I have shortfall of 12 days from first entry clearance to current residence permit expiry to complete my total 5 years. Do I need to apply for another extension of 2.5 years or can I apply for ILR based on the fact that I can apply 28 days before my qualifying period of 5 years (27/03/222)

Cheers

Useful to state what visa category you hold as different rules apply to different visas.

Your qualifying period starts counting from the date you entered the UK and not your initial visa issue date.

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before 7th May 2022 and must apply/submit online before your current visa expires.

Many Thanks.
Whilst my current BRP expires on 13/04/2022 and my 5 years period will be completed on 7th May 2022. I am safe to apply by 11/04/2022 for ILR and I do not actually need to apply for an extension of my spouse visa.
