Hi there, I would like to apply the ILR in Sep, I am preparing the the information and understand that I have to provide the absence letter from the company, however, my previous company is no longer exist, so there's no one can help to provide the absence letter, is it OK for me to provide my absence record and give a cover letter to explain the situation? Also, is there any other information I have to provide?
Meanwhile, my visa is valid on Oct 1, 2016 and I enter to the UK on Oct 20, 2016. Between Oct 1, 2016 to Sep 30, 2017, I am only not in the UK for 30 days. I believe I can apply the ILR on Sep 2, 2021 in this case?
Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately, I don't think you will be eligible.
https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk/y/y ... neral-visa
With the company gone you won't be able to meet two of the requirements listed in the like above:
-your employer (sponsor) still needs you for your job - they’ll need to provide a document confirming this
-your job meets the salary requirements
So without employment it may not be possible for you to settle under SET(O). Are you looking for employment elsewhere? I believe you can potentially even leave country in time to keep searching for employment for a good while without breaking your continuous residence as long as you come back within 6 months as the cool off period does not exist anymore.

The OP is talking about a
previous employer and the fact that he cannot get a letter from them as they do not exist, not that he has no sponsor now

No issues. Just add a cover letter and explain this. You can apply on Sep 2, 2021

ILR Set (O) form questions

Hi there. I am going to apply my ILR with my Tier 2 (General), however, I have a few questions about the form.
1. When I fill in the form, I choose "Skilled Worker or Tier 2", then there are only 3 options which are Skilled Worker, Tier 2 Minister of Religion and Tier 2 Sportsperson.
I assume I can choose Skilled Worker although my visa is Tier 2 (General)?
2. Regarding the question of "When did you first enter the UK?", I arrived in the UK in 2014 with my YMS visa and then apply to Tier 2 in 2016, shall I fill in the date of my Tier 2 one, as my ILR will be counted from Tier 2.
3. In case I fill in the date of 2016, how should I response for "Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?", as there will be a gap from 2014 - 2016?? As I input that I lived in my home country under 2014.
4. I am a Hong Konger and I got my Bachelor Degree in Australia, perviously when I applied for the Tier 2, I don't have to provide the NARIC letter, but now the document is required in my list, so I still have to get the NARIC letter?
Thanks for the answer in advance!

One thing to add, although my degree is taught in English, but my specialisation is Japanese, will it be affected?

1. Tier 2 General does NOT exist anymore. It is the Skilled Worker route
2. The date you put in is not important. Use the first date of entry
3. Enter your country of birth
4. Ignore the list
