Hope all is well! let’s say Husband & wife holding separate skilled worker visa. by the end of 2nd year unfortunately husband lost his job and serve as dependent for 5 months after-that got another job (back to skilled worker visa) Basically husband holding 5 years skilled worker visa but only thing is 5 months gap as dependent. Does husband needs to serve another five years to apply ILR? Or 3 years is enough?

The general rule for applying for ILR is that one can't mix different types of visas, except on a 10 year Long Residence application.

Also, if one switches from one visa to another, the immigration clock resets to zero.

Husband needs to spend five continuous years on Skilled Worker visa before applying for ILR or 10 continuous years on a mixture of different types of visas.

As long as your skilled worker visa is valid unless it is curtailed by UKVI
