Hello

I am due to apply for Tier 2 ILR in November, I worked with company A from 1st November 2016 to 31st October 2018, and then now with company B from 1st November 2018 - current.

I am aware that I need to obtain a letter from my PREVIOUS employer, can I get the letter NOW?
Or the letter must be within 28 days from date of application ?

Would be really appreciate if someone could help me with this.

Thank you

Former employer’s absence letter doesn’t need to be within 28 days. I got mine when I left to avoid having to chase them years later.

Tier 2 route does NOT exist anymore :!:
The rules of the skilled worker route do not mention any requirement for such letter at all.

Hello Zimba

Thank you for your reply. In that case how can I prove my employment with company A? I do have a tenancy agreement with a letter from landlord to prove my residency in UK during my time with company A, is that sufficient enough?

Thank you
