Lost BRP card

Hi There
My partner is going to be a dependant on my ILR application (ancestry route) within the next week, however she has lost her BRP card itself. Our 28days starts this week, as our initial entry was early October 2016.
As the BRP had less than 3 months validity, it looks like I do not have apply for replacement as the replacement will come with IRL - correct me if I'm wrong of course
But also, is this BRP card physically required for applying for IRL as a dependant on ancestry route?
