Members - I have following queries in relation to applying ILR and I would need some guidance. I have already gone through some of the posts and it really helped so far, appreicate your response in this case .
I am residing in UK for 4 years 10 months on Tier 2 General Category visa along with my wife & kid.
Date of issue as per BRP : 22-12-2016 ( 19-12-2016 for my wife (PBS) & my child)
Date of entry into UK : 17th Jan 2017
Valid until : 29-12-2021
q1. As per the HO guidelines I am assuming I should only apply after 02nd Dec 2021 ( no later than 28days ) based on expiry on BRP or woudl it be after 24th Nov '21 that I can apply ?
q2. I have already establisedh my english language proficiency when I applied for UK VISA for T2 ( through UK NARIC ) and as I have been understanding it looks like I need prove that again for ILR ?
q3. Is there any checklist for ILR documents ( probabably someone woudl have already prepared in this forum ) that I can help to go through , sorry I have tried checking few threads but couldnt find checklist - any inputs on this is appreciated.
q4. Is there any minimum amount that I need to show as part of financials for 3-4 months ?
q5. I am planning to apply myself for a faster servcie i.e 500 GBP one and apply for normal service for my wife & kids, would this be a good approach or is it advisable to go for all at once. Its not about financials but checking which one is a better appraoch.
Thanks for taking time and looking into these queries , much appreciated.

Please note that Tier 2 General route does NOT exist anymore and you are applying under the new Skilled worker rules. They are pretty much quite similar to the old Tier 2 rules. Use form SET(O)
1. It is within 28 days of completing the qualifying 5 years, counting from the first visa issue date. Visa expiry date is irrelevant
2. No. Provide the same evidence you got from NARIC
3. The online form gives you a checklist when you submit your application. It is often generic but may be helpful
4. Single payslip and last statement for you. Dependants have no financial requirement
5. Your choice. You get to use one single form for all of you if you all apply together

Query regarding spouse documentary evidence of cohabitation

Dear mentors - I am applying for SET(O) and under the spouse documentation, I need to show below and I have query in relation to this
If you have added a spouse or civil partner to this application form who is applying at the same time as you, please provide documentary evidence of cohabitation since you were last granted leave (up to a maximum of two years). Evidence provided should cover the whole period and be in the form of official letters or documents, addressed to yourself and your spouse.
1. As my wife is housewife she doesn't have any documents under her name . The only documents she has got are the following
- Tenancy agreement under mine and my wife's name
- NHS letter showing the registration
- National insurance letter under her name
- Nursery invoices with her name/current address of my child in 2020
- Recent bank account taken on her name two months back.
I am not sure if these would be considered valid or what else I can show ?
I have seen other queries in this form but not of much help , Any inputs on this is appreciated .

Dear mentors - while filing the application SET(O) I have come across this query
Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?
I have visited few countries on business Visas for shorter duration from few weeks to 5 months ( for CHina) , would these needs to updated ?
Thanks for your response.

Thanks Zimba .
I have got another query b - In my current residence neither of the council bills/utility bills gets genarated this is as per the agreement on my name ( as it comes under owner's name) , so I have other address proofs like Tenancy agreement , DL, NHS letter , Car INsurance and other NHS letters to prove my residence .
Is there any specific letter that I need to get from my house owner/Landlord or would tenancy agreement sufficient to provide my current residence ( I have been living for 4 years here ) [ I havent seen such doc requested for in site but wanted to have a opinion ]. Sorry this might be a layman question but wanted to ask as its keep pricking me in my mind .

Dear mentors - I am in the final phase of applying my SET(O) and I got a question about the times
These are my dates
Date of issue as per BRP : 22-12-2016 ( 19-12-2016 for my wife (PBS) & my child)
Date of entry into UK : 17th Jan 2017
Valid until : 29-12-2021
Zimba has previously mentioned below regarding when I can apply
1. It is within 28 days of completing the qualifying 5 years, counting from the first visa issue date. Visa expiry date is irrelevant
My queries are :
- When I can exactly apply or hit the pay/submit button : Would it be on 26th Nov & onwards that I need to apply ?
- Can I apply like today or tomorrow and book for available date with in Nov 24th - Dec 22nd 2021?
I am bit concerned because I heard if I apply wrongly then I wont get my money back , so wanted to check if I can apply ahead of time like today/tomorrow or do I need to apply exactly within 28days of my 5 years anniversary?
Thanks for feedback/suggestions.

Mentors - Need your advice, I think I have done a mistake and wanted to know opinion here. I have submiited for ILR application and in the benefit section I have stated NO i.e none taken , this was back in 2019 when I have checked with CHB they have stated I am eligible ( I have letter) and continued for 5 months , I have felt something wrong and I have informed them to discontinue ,which they did with a letter stating that I am not eligible and didnt mention any option to payback . Now after I applied ILR application submitted I realized this and wanted to check the impact it could have on my decision , bit worried . Just checking if something I can do now atleast.

Claiming benefits and public funds without permission leads to the refusal of ILR. I suggest adding a cover letter

Thanks Zimba I agree but it was not done with known intentions, I have got evidences of the letters from HO itself ( not sure why they when I am not eligible ). Do you have any format of cover letter which I can use or any reference on the site I can use . What usually happens after the cover letter ?

There is no format. It is a normal letter you write to explain your circumstances. Your BRP clearly tells you that you cannot claim public funds
