ILR Eligibility calculation : Tier 2 PBS Dependent to Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa

Hello Experts,

I am currently on Tier 2 PBS Dependent visa since March 2020 whereas my spouse has the Tier 2 General visa.
My employer is now sponsoring a Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa for me.
My spouse will be eligible for ILR after 5 years i.e. March 2025.

Can some of the experts in this forum clarify if I would also be eligible for ILR in March 2025 or will my clock for ILR reset when I change my visa now from PBS Dependent to Skilled worker visa ?
It means my ILR eligibility would change to March 2027.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Pushkar.

You need 5 years on the skilled worker visa so yes, your ilr clock will reset to zero I'd you switch from a dependent visa to the main visa holder as a skilled worker.

You cannot combine two categories of visas to make up 5 years for ilr.
